Gaza

The situation in Gaza is a humanitarian catastrophe. Israel has occupied Palestinian land for the past 75 years and has forcefully displaced Palestinian citizens from their homes ever since. They have been able to continue their ongoing violence against Palestinians with the political and financial support of the United States. Currently, Israel has waged a genocide on the people of Palestine with non-stop bombardment of strikes resulting in “at least 29,692 Palestinians ... killed and 69,879 injured in ... Gaza since October 7” Al Jazeera. More than 13,000 kids have been murdered and 2.5 million people are experiencing famine from a lack of humanitarian aid. While there is undeniable evidence of Israel's atrocities against the Palestinian people, they continue to misinform the media into believing that their attacks are intended to target Hamas.

Sudan

The power struggle between the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) and the Rapid Support Forces raised in a massive conflict in April 2023 has been marked by political unrest, violence, and human rights abuses. It began with a military coup that ousted the civilian government, leading to widespread protests and a violent crackdown by security forces. The crisis has deepened as various factions vie for power, resulting in a humanitarian emergency with millions displaced and in need of assistance. The conflict has led to a surge in violence against women and girls, with reports of sexual violence, including rape, being used as a tactic of war to terrorize people. The conflict has resulted in over 6.8 million people being displaced, and 15.8 million people in dire need of humanitarian aid. Women and girls have been disproportionately affected, facing conflict-related sexual violence and gender-based violence.
